Cocomo...Now if I Just Get That Song Out of My Head....

Reading about Cocomo, Adobe's Platform as a Service offering (beta only) has resulted in me being intrigued by how I can potentially use Cocomo to my advantage when it comes to my AIR knitting application (currently in limbo from lack of time to learn Flex in a Week).

Hosted on acrobat.com, the options Cocomo has for social capabilities has me pondering the initial parameters of my app and contemplating bigger, better, more potentials.

The downside is I now have that song stuck in my head from the movie Cocktail. Sigh. You know the one? Tom Cruise? Elizabeth Shue? That bloody song by the beach boys called Kokomo? I hope you're feeling the pain as I am....

I went to MT's site for support on this one. And I found the title, got all excited. Clicked on it. And the page was blank. Not Kidding. Check it out. So. Here's what I finally figured out and did (again as a support to the world...I'm learning Flex, but I also spend my days handling SEO, so you're getting it all).

Create a Twitter Widget for your MT Blog

All right. I know this is not Flex. But I did mention I get sidetracked. And since I couldn't easily find this in a search...I thought it may be useful to people. What I did find was some code for adding Twitter to TypePad off the Twitter site. Figured I'd modify it a bit and create an MT widget and see if it works. It does. So here you go!

Forget Flex. Listen to my Linux Woes

So I stupidly bought the husband an iPod for Christmas. The husband doesn't like Linux. You know where this is going, don't you?

Let me backtrack a bit. I did embark on to the Virtual Machine path. Got it up and running, installed Windows XP on it and iTunes. And had my iPhone working beautifully. I was happy. Let me stress the I in that sentence. And I don't think there is anything wrong with that. But iTunes, for some reason, wouldn't recognize the iPod. My husband didn't like the VM. The VM audio wasn't working. Etc. So I decided to go with my original plan, return to XP and partition the drive for Linux.
